Year 5

Dear Parents/Carers,


Welcome back to Term 3 - we hope you had a restful and enjoyable holiday. We are very much looking forward to all the exciting things we have planned this term and can't wait to see our classes tomorrow.


We will use the web site and the school newsletter as our main forms of communication with you so please check in regularly to find out what is going on and what the children have been doing. You can look at the photos to see what the children have been up to in their classes and see some examples of the brilliant work that they have been producing. 


If you are self-isolating or require any work from home, please keep an eye on the website or contact your teacher if you have any questions. 


If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact your child's class teacher. Our e-mail addresses will be displayed at the end of this message.

Helping your child cope during the pandemic


It is absolutely normal that you child will be feeling many different emotions throughout this time. Sometimes they may feel things that are hard to express and seemingly never ending. 

The link below takes you to a child friendly information website about Coronavirus, with tips about how to stay healthy and feelings the children might be experiencing. It also has tips for mental health and how to look after yourself. 

The course follows 9 'lessons' but it is possible to scroll through each of the screens and read them along side your child all in one go. 

We suggest you pay particular attention to lesson 4 'How you feel' and lesson 5 'Tips for Mental Health'.
