Year 2

Welcome to Year 2

Welcome back to Term 5! We hope you have all had a wonderful Easter holiday and have enjoyed the extra chocolate treats we are sure came with it! We hope you are well rested and ready for a busy term ahead.

Please refer to our curriculum overview and termly newsletter for information about what we will be learning about in each subject. If you or anyone that you know has any skills linked to what we will be learning about this term, and you would be willing and able to come in and share them with the children, please let your child’s class teacher know as this can be a very enriching experience for the children and they absolutely love having visitors.

Spellings will continue to be sent home this term as homework. This will start again on Monday 17th April so please encourage your child to practise these spellings as much as possible throughout the week in preparation for the weekly spelling quiz which will take place on a Friday. There will also be a copy of these spellings in the spelling folder below.

Thank you for your continuing support at home with learning; we know many of you are engaging well with Purple Mash, Numbots and Collins E-books. These continue to be available to you.

As always if you have any queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch with your child's class teacher. Email addresses can be found below and we will be available on the top playground at the end of each day.

Just a reminder that Year 2 classes will continue to exit at the end of the day through the following Year 1 classroom doors:

Oak - Apple class

Maple - Elm class

Rowan - Cherry class

Sycamore - Beech class

Many thanks

2B Enterprising inspires the next generation of ambitious, healthy, enterprising and informed citizens. We raise the aspirations of young people whilst introducing them to valuable life experiences and key skills.

They came in on Wednesday 28th September and spent some time with each class, teaching them problem solving skills as well as the importance of co-operation, communication and confidence.
