This year we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 4th March.
We have loads of exciting activities and experiences on offer throughout the week. We would love you all to get involved, whether you are at home or in school.
On Wednesday, you can take part in the Share a Story online session entitled "Books that Make Us LOL". Follow the link below to join in at home. (10.30am)
On Thursday, you are invited to dress up as a book character. Prizes will be on offer for the best outfit/most effort made. If you are at home on Thursday, please make sure you send a photo of yourself to your class teacher.
In class, the children will be designing their own book covers for the character they are dressed as or another favourite book. Children at home are invited to do the same. In the afternoon, they will have to opportunity to listen to a live session from the World Book Day website. The links are saved below.
On Friday, there is a third Share a Story live session (Books and the Real World), this one is aimed at children who are 9 years and above, but I am sure many of you would enjoy it. It stars authors such as Katherine Rundell and Jess French. (10.30am)
Your main English task on Friday will be linked to World Book Day too. See the daily English lessons for further information.
