Reception and KS1 Reading Books
Firstly, thank you all for the continuing support that you have been giving your children with reading during these unusual times.
We are now able to send reading books home however, as with many things at the moment, how this will work will be different this term. Please see the information below.
All children will be given at least 1 reading book on a Monday. This will be their reading book for the week. The children will be able to take this home and we would suggest that you hear them read at least 2 or 3 times during the week. On a Friday ALL books will be collected in and quarantined over the weekend ready for being given out the following Monday. During the week the teaching staff will hear the children read using the class stock of books.
We obviously do not wish to leave you without any resources at home over the weekend and would suggest that the following online reading sites will help fill the gap left from us quarantining books.

https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/

Thank you in advance for your help with this and I hope that you all enjoy the above resources as much as we have enjoyed hearing your children read again.
Thank you to all of you who have been in touch about supporting reading. Unfortunately, we are not able to have volunteers in to help with reading. As soon as we are we will be in touch.
