Christmas Through The Keyhole at St Francis Church
We learnt all about the story of Christmas by visiting St Francis Church. We went into tents which were set up as different settings in the story (Mary and Joseph's house/shepard's house/Joseph's workshop/3 wise men) and collected items to help us retell it including a map, a gold coin and cotton wool.

Our RE topic this term investigates the question 'Why are some places special?'
In small groups, the children worked together to match items which can be found in a Christian church with its definition. We learnt all about why churches are special to Christians and the sentiment behind the items which can be found in their place of worship.
