Art is the expression or creation of ideas, emotions, or experiences through various forms such as painting, drawing, sculpture or other creative mediums. It is a way for humans to communicate, interpret, and reflect on the world around them, often combining imagination, skill, and personal or cultural meaning.

We want pupils at Ashton Gate to experience a high-quality art education that engages, inspires and challenges them. Children will have the opportunity to build skills during art lessons, which they can then apply to their work using a range of different mediums. During their time at Ashton Gate, children will study a range of artists, makers and designers from a diverse range of backgrounds to understand the development of their art forms and inspire their own work.
