Religion and Worldviews

Religion and Worldviews (RW) is the subject where children learn about different religions, beliefs, and ways of life. It covers key practices, stories, celebrations, and values from a variety of cultures. Pupils also explore ideas about meaning, purpose, and morality, helping them understand both their own views and those of others.

At our school, we aim to give every child a rich understanding of the major world faiths and different ways people view the world. As children move through the school, they explore a range of religions and worldviews, including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Humanism.

We are proud to have received the Wider Inclusion in Religious Education award, recognising the diversity of our curriculum and our commitment to providing meaningful experiences. Through workshops, visitors, and trips, pupils gain a deeper appreciation of the beliefs and values that shape our world.

Parents have the right to withdraw their child from RE lessons, and we are always happy to discuss this further if required.
