Geography

Geography is the study of where places are found, what they are like and the relationships between people and their environments.

At Ashton Gate, our Geography curriculum sparks curiosity and wonder about the world and the people who live in it. Through exciting and meaningful learning, children explore diverse places, environments, and cultures — developing a deep appreciation for our planet and those who share it.

Pupils learn about both the physical and human features of the Earth, discovering how these interact and change over time, locally and globally. Geography helps children understand their own place in the world while building important map, fieldwork, and enquiry skills they can use in school and beyond.
