Spellings and homework

Term 1 Homework

1) Please read with your child daily or encourage them to read independently for pleasure. 

2) Spellings - please encourage your child to practice the weekly words using any suitable method. Have a look at the spelling strategy sheet for some ideas.

3) Times tables / TimesTable Rockstars - all Y4 children need to learn their tables up to 12 x 12.

4)  There is no homework project this term. 

Term 1 spellings 

We will be teaching a range of spellings across the term and will have 3 spellings tests in the year. We will no longer be using spellings shed. Please focus the following words with your children this term:

pyramid,  automatic, crystal, swimming,  navigation, playfully, situation,  closure, trouble,  creature
