At Ashton Gate we believe that music should be creative, expressive and give children opportunities to perform, communicate, increase their confidence and self-esteem and is something for them to become passionate about. As well as growing as a musician, opportunities to compose and perform will encourage an expressive and creative impulse in children. We believe that all children should be given opportunities to participate in whole school and community activities, to perform, to share their own musical tastes and appreciate a variety of music from different cultures.
