History

One of the problems Brunel found was that the land he wanted to build his railway over wasn't all flat. He would need bridges and tunnels.

 

Watch the clip below then see if you can build your own railway or train. You might use a train set you have at home, or other building toys. You could draw pictures and designs of any bridges or tunnels. You could line up some chairs and pretend you are driving the train yourself, you might even let your brother, sisters or adults sit on the train with you!

 

Take some photos of your trains or railways and send them to your teacher, then we can share them on the website.
