Remembrance Poetry
Linked to our work on World War One, and in the build up to remembrance day, in class we create Pantoums that discussed the significance of the poppy and the need to remember those that died in war.
Linked to our literacy and History learning, and following on from our reading of War Horse, we thought about how soldiers from War Horse would feel at different moments in the story so far. We considered how they might feel being sent to the front-line trenches, waiting to go 'over the top' and being sent back to behind the lines for a rest.
