On our Welly Walk, we thought about how the main character, Ivan, in our Power of Reading Text, Ice Palace, would have felt on his cold, icy journey to try and rescue his brother.

 

We came up with some powerful descriptions, thinking of synonyms and expanded noun phrases, to help us visualise his surroundings and challenges.
