Day 2

Today we will read our story 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. Before you watch the clip or read the story, see what you can remember together about the characters, the setting and the events in the story.

 

Listen to the story, also look at other versions of the story if you have them. Are they the same all the way through? What is different? Does it change the overall story?

 

Using the pictures or drawings of your own, muddle up the story and ask your child to reorder them to correctly tell the story. Can they write a short sentence to explain what is happening in some or all of the pictures?

Goldilocks and the 3 bears story - read this version and any others you might have to help remember the characters, the setting and the main events. Then use use the sequence cards or your own pictures or sentences to let your child put the story in the correct order. Finally they can write short sentences independently or with support for each picture.
