World War One

Here are some photographs showing some of our learning about WW1!

We went on a learning walk of our local area with local WW1 expert Michael Gorely.

We also had a visit from Jeremy Banning, who taught us all about the horrors of the trenches.

6M also had a lovely bonus visitor - Becca's grandad! He came in to show us some artefacts he inherited from his grandfather who survived many injuries during WW1 on the Western Front. We saw and held badges, medals, a bullet, shell casings, his army hat, some postcards and a barbed wire peg.
