Christmas Experience at St. Francis Church
Look at the photographs of our visit.
We went through the keyhole of people's houses to explain the story of Christmas. We discovered who was there, how far they travelled, what they brought with them. What a surprise we had as we traveled with them to Bethlehem especially when we arrived at the inn and went round the back to the stable.
Thursday 22nd November- Cathy from Bristol City Council came to talk to us about the importance of staying healthy through the winter months but also the importance of staying safe. We discussed about how we come to school and what we can do to be seen by the traffic when we walk, cycle, scoot. With Cathy we made our own fluorescent, high visibility, shiny badges for us to wear as we come to school. We will all now be safe because we will be seen.
PE lessons for term 2
Lessons will take place in the morning and they will be taught by Coach Sid.
We ask that the children's PE kits remain in school for the term, in a appropriate named bag. The children will need PE Top, PE shorts and / or joggers/leggings, as well as a warm outer layer for them to wear when required. Please can you ensure that each item is named, often the children's enthusiasm to put their PE kit away means they scoop up other children's clothing.
Please ensure you child has suitable footwear for PE and they have a water bottle.
Sometimes there are timetable clashes which means that an individual class's PE time may have to change. Consequently if the children's PE bag remains in school they are able to participate in the lesson even if it is not their usual day. Many thanks with your cooperation with this request.
