Please continue to support your child coming into the classrooms independently at the beginning of the day.
The school day starts at 8.50 -9.00 am and finishes at 3.20pm. Please drop-off and pick-up your child from their classroom door area.
As we head into January and February, please ensure that your child comes to school with a coat each morning, as we will always try to take them outside when possible. It is also really helpful for children to have their books and book bags each day. Please be sure to label all coats and jumpers.
Please ensure your child has a full PE kit which ideally should remain in school for the term and taken home at the end of the term to be washed. Please label all PE bags and all kit to avoid it getting muddled while the children get changed.
Cherry Class have PE on Monday afternoon
Apple Class have PE on Tuesday afternoon
Elm Class on Friday afternoon
Beech Class on Wednesday afternoon
Please keep in mind the above times may change if a visitor is coming in, a themed day has been planned or if a teacher is out on a course.
We have been really lucky and very grateful to have some parents helpers coming in to read with the children. This is a great help to the teachers and the children really enjoy reading with other adults. If you feel you might have time to come in and help too, please speak to the class teacher at the beginning or end of the day to arrange this.
More dates for your diary!
Each Year 1 class will be performing a musical based on a traditional tale! We hope you will be able to come and see your child perform. Each performance will commence at 2.30pm in the main hall.

Reading mornings will be on Friday from 8.50 to 9.10 and we look forward to welcoming you into your child's class for this enjoyable activity.
Please listen to your child read 3 to 4 times a week and you will be amazed at the progress they make! Children can change their reading books when they have enjoyed the current reading book and are ready for something new. Teachers decide on the book level that is right for your child.
